What is the rino virus?

Rhinoviruses are a group of viruses that cause the common cold. They are the most common cause of the common cold, accounting for about 50% of all cases. Rhinoviruses are highly contagious and can be spread through close contact with an infected person or by touching surfaces that have been contaminated with the virus.

Rhinoviruses are not the same as influenza viruses, which cause the flu. Rhinovirus infections are typically milder than influenza infections, and they do not usually cause serious complications. However, rhinovirus infections can be very uncomfortable, and they can lead to lost time from work or school.

There is no specific cure for the common cold, but there are some things that you can do to ease the symptoms, such as:

* Resting

* Drinking plenty of fluids

* Taking over-the-counter pain relievers

* Using a humidifier

If you have a weakened immune system, you may be more likely to develop serious complications from a rhinovirus infection. If you are experiencing severe symptoms, such as difficulty breathing or chest pain, it is important to see a doctor immediately.

There are two species of rhinoviruses that commonly affect humans: Rhinovirus A and Rhinovirus B. Each type of rhinovirus is made up of many different serotypes, or variations. This means that it is possible to get infected with rhinovirus more than once and, thus, get the common cold or nasal allergies more than once. Currently researchers have identified at least over 100 types of rhinoviruses.
