Where do mudpuppy live?

Mudpuppies are found in eastern North America, primarily in the Mississippi River Basin and the Great Lakes region, as well as some parts of Canada and Tennessee. They prefer cool, rocky streams and lakes with vegetated areas and moderate currents. Mudpuppies are usually found in freshwater habitats, but they can also occasionally be found in brackish water near coastal areas.
