Some species of buzzards, such as the common buzzard (Buteo buteo), have a very wide range and can be found in a variety of habitats. Others, such as the ferruginous buzzard (Buteo regalis), are more restricted to specific regions, such as open grasslands. Buzzards typically build their nests in trees or on cliffs, and they feed on a variety of small animals, including rodents, rabbits, birds, and reptiles.
