Dodo adaptations:
- Dodo beak: Dodos had long, thick beaks that were used for eating fruit, seeds, and small animals. Their beaks were also used for defense.
- Dodo wings: Dodos had small wings that were not strong enough for flying. However, their wings were still useful for balance and for helping them to run.
- Dodo feathers: Dodos had gray or brown feathers that helped to camouflage them in their environment. Their white rump was also thought to be used as a signal to other dodos.
- Dodo legs: Dodos had strong legs that were used for walking and running. Their legs were also used for defense.
