Where does the tufted puffin live?

Tufted puffins (Fratercula cirrhata) are seabirds found in the North Pacific Ocean. Their breeding range includes the coasts and islands of Alaska, the Russian Far East, and the northern coasts of Japan and Korea. They are commonly seen in the Bering Sea, the Sea of Okhotsk, and the Sea of Japan. Tufted puffins inhabit rocky cliffs and islands with slopes or burrows suitable for nesting. During the non-breeding season, they disperse widely across the North Pacific, venturing as far south as California and Japan.
