Is a lynx threat to humans?

The Iberian lynx is not typically considered a threat to humans. Lynx are generally shy and reclusive animals, and tend to avoid contact with people. However, there are a few documented cases of lynx attacks on humans, mostly involving people who were deliberately trying to approach or handle the animals. In these cases, the lynx may have felt threatened or provoked and acted in self defense.

While lynx attacks are rare, it's important to remember that these animals are powerful predators and should not be approached or harassed. If you're hiking or spending time in areas where lynx are known to live, be mindful of your surroundings and give these animals the space they need.
