Is there such a thing as snow fox?

There's no official species called a "snow fox." However, there are two fox species that are known for their white fur and are often called "snow foxes":

* Arctic Fox: These foxes are native to the Arctic regions and are well-adapted to cold climates. They have a thick, white coat in the winter, which helps them camouflage against the snow. In the summer, their fur often turns grayish-brown.

* Kit Fox: While not as common as the Arctic Fox, the Kit Fox can also have a white coat in the winter. This is especially true for Kit Foxes living in the snowy regions of the western United States.

So, while "snow fox" isn't a specific species name, it's a common term used to refer to foxes with white winter coats, particularly the Arctic Fox.
