Do whales live in coral reefs?
Whales generally do not live in coral reefs. While some whales may occasionally enter coral reef areas for feeding or migration purposes, they are typically found in open waters of oceans and seas. Coral reefs are shallow marine ecosystems primarily inhabited by various corals and associated organisms, and they provide suitable habitats for many reef-associated fish species, invertebrates, and marine plants. Whales, being large marine mammals, usually prefer deeper waters and often have wide-ranging movements across vast oceanic distances. Some whale species, such as the humpback whale, may approach coral reef areas for breeding or feeding activities, but they do not reside in coral reefs permanently.
