What isa baby penguin called?

A baby penguin is called a chick. Penguin chicks are covered in soft, downy feathers and are entirely dependent on their parents for food and protection. They typically hatch from their eggs after several weeks of incubation and remain in the nest for several more weeks before they are able to walk and swim on their own. Penguin chicks are very vulnerable to predators and the elements, and only a small percentage of them survive to adulthood.
