When where penguins found?
The earliest known penguin fossils date back to the late Eocene period, about 50 to 60 million years ago. These fossils were found in New Zealand, and they suggest that penguins may have originated in the Southern Hemisphere. Over time, penguins spread to other parts of the world, including Antarctica, South America, and South Africa. Today, there are 18 different species of penguins, and they can be found in a variety of habitats, from cold, icy waters to warm, tropical climates.
