Where does the blue whales live?
The blue whale (Balaenoptera musculus) is found in all the world's oceans. It is the largest animal that has ever lived on Earth. Blue whales are found in deep, cold waters, typically between 100 and 1,000 meters (328 and 3,280 feet). They are often found near the edge of the continental shelf, where the water is deeper and the food supply is more abundant. Blue whales migrate seasonally between their feeding grounds in the polar regions and their breeding grounds in the tropics.
