How many llamas are there in the world?

It's impossible to say exactly how many llamas there are in the world. There's no global census for llamas!

However, we can estimate.

* Wild Llamas: There are estimated to be around 200,000 wild llamas in the Andes Mountains.

* Domestic Llamas: The number of domestic llamas is much higher, but estimates vary wildly. Some sources say there are 7 million worldwide, while others put the number closer to 1.5 million.

Therefore, a reasonable estimate for the total number of llamas in the world would be between 7.2 million and 8.2 million.

Keep in mind, this is just an estimate based on available data. The actual number could be higher or lower.
