What animal makes the longest migration in world?

The Arctic tern (Sterna paradisae) makes the longest migration of any animal in the world, covering a distance of around 11,000 miles (18,000 kilometers) each year. These birds breed in the Arctic during the summer and then migrate to the Antarctic during the winter. They make this incredible journey in order to find food, as there is more food available in the Antarctic during the winter than there is in the Arctic.
