Where did wooly mammoths live?
Wooly mammoths lived in the northern hemisphere, including parts of North America, Europe, and Asia. They inhabited cold, steppe environments during the Pleistocene epoch, which spanned from about 2.6 million years ago to about 11,700 years ago. Wooly mammoths were well-adapted to the harsh conditions of the Ice Age, with thick fur, a large body size, and a hump on their backs.
