How big are baby rhinos?

Baby rhinos, also known as calves, are born weighing approximately 40 to 65 kilograms (88 to 143 pounds). This can vary depending on the species of rhino as there are multiple rhino species including white rhinos, black rhinos, greater one-horned rhinos, Sumatran rhinos, and Javan rhinos. White rhinos tend to have the largest calves, while Javan rhinos have the smallest. Despite their relatively heavy birth weight, rhino calves only stand around 60 to 90 centimeters (24 to 35 inches) tall at birth, appearing somewhat disproportionate at times.
