Are the megalosaurus and megalodon same?

Megalosaurus and megalodon are two different prehistoric creatures. Megalosaurus was a large carnivorous dinosaur that lived during the Middle and Late Jurassic period, around 168 to 155 million years ago. Megalodon, on the other hand, was a massive shark that lived during the Miocene and Pliocene epochs, around 23 to 2.6 million years ago. So, while both creatures had "Megalo" in their names, they belonged to different groups (dinosaurs and sharks) and lived at different times.
