Why do gorillas stink?
Gorillas do not inherently smell bad. Like humans, their body odor depends on their diet, environment, and hygiene. Gorillas living in the wild primarily consume plants and fruits, which contribute to their natural scent. As omnivores, gorillas in captivity may also consume a variety of foods, including processed diets, which can affect their odor. Living in a humid rainforest habitat and engaging in physical activities can contribute to perspiration and stronger scents, but proper grooming helps manage their hygiene. Regular care, such as bathing and grooming, keeps gorillas clean and reduces any unpleasant smells.
