What are the kangaroos cousins?

Kangaroos are marsupials, which means they have a pouch where they raise their young. While they are related to other marsupials, there is no single animal that is definitively considered their "cousin."

However, you can say kangaroos are closely related to:

* Other Macropods: This includes wallabies, quolls, and pademelons. These animals share the characteristic of having large hind legs and strong tails for hopping.

* Other Diprotodonts: This is a larger group of marsupials that includes kangaroos, wombats, koalas, and possums. They all have two large lower incisor teeth.

So, while you can't point to one specific animal as a cousin, kangaroos are part of a large and diverse family of marsupials!
