Why do hippos die from anthrax and komodo dragons immunity kills the bacteria on spot?

There is no evidence to suggest that hippos die from anthrax or that Komodo dragons have immunity to the bacteria. While some animals may be more resistant to certain diseases than others, it is unlikely that any species would be completely immune to a deadly bacteria like anthrax.
