How did the albertosaurus become extinct?

Albertosaurus is a genus of tyrannosaurid theropod dinosaur that lived during the Late Cretaceous period (Campanian stage), found in Canada and the western United States. Like all non-avian dinosaurs, Albertosaurus became extinct at the end of the Cretaceous period. The commonly accepted theory for the extinction of Albertosaurus and many other species of plants and animals is the Chicxulub impact, a large meteorite that struck the Yucatán Peninsula in present-day Mexico.
