Did female saber-toothed tigers have sabers?

Female saber-toothed tigers did indeed have sabers, albeit not as pronounced as those of their male counterparts. The saber-toothed cat species Smilodon fatalis, for instance, exhibited sexual dimorphism in saber size, with males possessing longer and more robust canines compared to females. However, female Smilodon still had prominent sabers, which they likely utilized for hunting and self-defense. The difference in saber size between males and females is thought to be related to different hunting behaviors and prey preferences.
