How long does a baby tiger stay with their mom?

A baby tiger, also known as a cub, stays with its mother for around 18 to 24 months.

During this time, the mother teaches the cubs essential survival skills like:

* Hunting: She will start by bringing back small prey and then gradually introduce them to larger animals.

* Socialization: The cubs learn how to interact with other tigers, even if they are not siblings.

* Territorial awareness: They learn the boundaries of their territory and how to defend it.

After this period, the cubs will usually disperse to establish their own territories and start their own families.
