What is a tigers natural enemies?

Tigers, being apex predators, don't have many natural enemies in their adult form. However, there are a few threats they face:

Other Tigers: Tigers can be territorial and aggressive towards each other, especially males competing for mates and territory. This can lead to fights that result in injuries or even death.

Larger Predators: While rare, adult tigers can be hunted by larger predators like crocodiles or bears in specific circumstances, especially if they are injured or weak.

Human Conflicts: The biggest threat to tigers is humans. Habitat loss, poaching, and conflict with humans are the primary reasons for their dwindling numbers.

Other Threats:

* Diseases: Tigers can be susceptible to diseases like canine distemper or rabies.

* Competition for Prey: While tigers are apex predators, they can face competition for food from other large predators like leopards or dholes.

Note: These threats are generally more relevant to adult tigers. Tiger cubs are more vulnerable to a wider range of predators, including leopards, dholes, and even large birds of prey.
