However, there are a few exceptions:
* Mothers and cubs will live together until the cubs are old enough to survive on their own. This can last for up to two years.
* During the breeding season, males and females may briefly live together to mate.
* In areas with high prey density, tigers may occasionally share their territory with other tigers, but they will generally avoid each other.
So while they are not social animals like many primates, it is not entirely accurate to say they never live in groups.
