Why tigers have a special ability to run fast?

Tigers do not have any special abilities to run fast. Their top speed can reach 65 km/h (40 mph), which is impressive but not out of the ordinary for large predators. Cheetahs, for instance, can reach speeds of up to 120 km/h (75 mph). Tigers are powerful and agile, but their speed is not exceptional compared to other big cats.
