Did the Tasmanian tiger live in all of Oceania archipelago or just Australia and Tasmania?
The Tasmanian tiger, also known as the thylacine, was native to mainland Australia, including Tasmania, and New Guinea. However, it's important to note that the thylacine became extinct during the mid-20th century, with the last confirmed specimen dying in a zoo in Hobart, Tasmania, in 1936. Although there have been occasional unconfirmed sightings and claims of its survival, no concrete scientific evidence currently suggests that the Tasmanian tiger still exists today.
