What animals does a tiger chase?

A tiger is an apex predator and it chases a variety of animals for food, including:

- Deer: Tigers primarily prey on deer species such as sambar, chital, and axis deer.

- Wild boar: Tigers also hunt wild boars, which can provide a substantial amount of meat.

- Antelope: In certain regions, tigers may hunt antelope species such as nilgai and blackbuck.

- Wild buffalo: While not their preferred prey, tigers have been known to hunt and kill wild buffalo in some instances.

- Livestock: Tigers may occasionally prey on domestic livestock such as cattle, goats, and horses, especially when their natural prey is scarce.
