Range:
- The pygmy pipistrelle is a small bat species primarily found in Europe and parts of Asia, including the following regions:

- Parts of western and central Asia, such as Turkey, the Caucasus, and Kazakhstan
Habitat:
- Prefers woodlands and forests
- Also found in parks, gardens, and other urban green spaces

- Head and body length: 35-45mm (1.38-1.77 inches)
- Tail length: 25-35mm (0.98-1.38 inches)
- Weight: 3-6 grams (0.11-0.21 ounces)
Fur:
- Short and dense
- Coloration varies from pale brown or gray to reddish brown
Diet:
- Primarily feeds on insects, especially small flying insects like flies, midges, and moths
Activity:
- Nocturnal (active at night)
- Roosts in tree cavities, holes in buildings, and other sheltered locations during the day
Reproduction:
- Mates in spring or early summer
- One or two pups are born after a gestation period of about 50 days
- Pups are weaned at about 25-30 days old and become independent at about 6-8 weeks old
