How does a tiger camoflauge itself?
A tiger's stripes help it camouflage itself by breaking up its outline and blending in with the dappled light and shade of the forest. The dense vegetation of the tiger's natural habitat further helps to conceal it from prey and predators alike. When a tiger crouches down in the long grass, its stripes make it even harder to spot. This camouflaging ability gives tigers a distinct advantage when hunting and defending themselves.
