How many and tiger are left in India?
As per the latest tiger estimation report released in 2018 by the National Tiger Conservation Authority (NTCA), there are an estimated 2,967 tigers in India. This represents an increase of 33% from the 2014 tiger estimation, when the population was estimated to be 2,226. The increase in tiger numbers is attributed to various conservation measures taken by the Indian government, including the establishment of tiger reserves and the implementation of anti-poaching measures.
