- Peritonitis: The plaster can also cause peritonitis, a serious infection of the abdominal lining. Peritonitis can be fatal if not treated promptly.
- Aspergillosis: Plaster of Paris can also contain Aspergillus spores, which can cause aspergillosis, a respiratory infection. Aspergillosis can be fatal in chipmunks.
