Do cougars live in the jungle?

Cougars, also known as mountain lions or pumas, do not live in jungles.

They are primarily found in the Americas, inhabiting a wide range of habitats like:

* Forests: They prefer dense forests, especially those with rocky areas for cover.

* Mountains: They are well-adapted to mountainous terrain and can be found at high elevations.

* Grasslands: They can also live in grasslands, especially if there are trees or shrubs for cover.

* Deserts: Some cougar populations exist in desert regions, although they prefer areas with some vegetation.

Jungles, with their dense vegetation and high humidity, are not typical habitats for cougars.
