Where do the wolves live in tundra?

Wolves don't typically live in the tundra. While they can survive in very cold environments, the tundra is generally too harsh and barren for them to establish a sustainable population.

Here's why:

* Limited prey: The tundra's harsh climate limits the availability of prey animals like caribou, musk oxen, and lemmings. These prey are often scarce and difficult to hunt in the vast, open landscapes.

* Difficult travel: The snow and ice can make travel difficult and energy-consuming for wolves, especially during the winter months.

* Limited denning sites: Finding suitable dens in the frozen ground can be challenging for wolves, especially during the breeding season.

While there might be occasional instances of wolves crossing into tundra areas, they are not considered a native or permanent resident of this biome.
