What hunts badgers?

Badgers are surprisingly well-defended animals, with strong claws, sharp teeth, and a thick layer of fur. However, they still have a few predators:

Natural Predators:

* Red Fox: Especially young badgers, they are a common predator.

* Wild Boar: Can be a threat to badgers, particularly in areas where they overlap.

* Dogs: Domestic dogs can pose a danger to badgers if they are not kept on leashes.

* Large Birds of Prey: Eagles and owls have been known to attack badgers, especially young or injured ones.

Other Threats:

* Humans: Hunting and habitat loss are major threats to badgers.

* Road Traffic: Road accidents are a significant source of mortality for badgers.

It's important to note that badgers are generally well-adapted to avoid predators and have a strong social structure that helps them to protect themselves.
