If a pack of wolves catch mammal would coyotes attack?

It's highly unlikely that coyotes would attack a pack of wolves that had already caught a mammal. Here's why:

* Wolves are much larger and more powerful than coyotes. A pack of wolves is a formidable force, and coyotes are instinctively aware of this.

* Wolves are apex predators. They are at the top of the food chain, and coyotes recognize this dominance.

* Coyotes are opportunistic scavengers. They are more likely to scavenge the remains of a wolf kill than to attempt to steal it from them.

However, there are a few exceptions to this rule:

* If a wolf pack is weakened or injured, coyotes might be bold enough to try to steal a kill.

* Coyotes may compete with wolves for food if resources are scarce. This is more likely to happen in areas where wolf populations are low and coyote populations are high.

* Individual coyotes may be aggressive or desperate enough to try to steal a kill, even from a healthy wolf pack. But this is rare.

In general, coyotes will avoid confrontations with wolves unless they have a significant advantage. They are more likely to use their cunning and intelligence to find alternative food sources.
