Here's why:
* Physical Development: Adult wolves are fully developed, with strong muscles and a streamlined body built for speed and endurance. Pups are still growing, their muscles are not fully developed, and their bodies are more rounded.
* Experience: Adult wolves have years of experience running and hunting, allowing them to refine their speed and agility. Pups are learning to run and coordinate their movements.
While a full-grown wolf can reach speeds of up to 37 miles per hour (60 km/h), a pup would be much slower.
It's important to remember that even though pups are slower, they are still incredibly agile and playful, developing the skills they'll need to survive as adults.
