Who builds the nest snow owls mom or dad?

Snow owls do not build nests. They lay their eggs in a scrape on the ground, typically in a sheltered location such as a hollow tree, a rock crevice, or a burrow. Both male and female snow owls may help to excavate the scrape, but it is primarily the responsibility of the female.
