When are wolves born?
Wolf pups are born in the springtime. The gestation period for a wolf is approximately 63 days, and the average litter size is 4-6 pups. The pups are born blind and helpless, and they rely on their mother for food and protection. They will begin to open their eyes after about a week, and they will start to walk and explore their surroundings after about a month. The pups will stay with their mother and the pack until they are about two years old, at which point they will leave the pack to find their own territory.
