Where does a European beaver live?

The Eurasian beaver (Castor fiber) is a large rodent found in much of Europe and parts of Asia. European Beavers live in burrows built along the banks of rivers and lakes or streams of the boreal zones near or to water courses such as swamps, streams lakes and ponds within woodland areas where plenty of branches and tree bark that they use for dam construction.
