Do cheetahs live in the mountains?
Cheetahs typically prefer habitats like open grasslands, savannahs, or semi-arid environments with adequate prey populations. Mountainous regions are generally not their ideal habitat. Cheetahs require vast open spaces to facilitate their high-speed chases after prey. Steep terrains and dense vegetation in mountainous regions can hinder their hunting techniques and limit their mobility. As a result, cheetahs are usually not found in mountain habitats.
