What does a baby buffalo look like when they are born?

A baby buffalo is called a calf. When they are born, they are covered in a reddish-brown fur and weigh around 70 pounds. They have long legs and a big head with a prominent hump. Their horns are small and soft at birth, and they will continue to grow as the calf gets older. Buffalo calves are born with their eyes open and can walk and run shortly after birth. They will stay close to their mothers for protection and to nurse. Buffalo calves will typically stay with their mothers for up to two years before they become independent.
