Instructions for a Little Giant Incubator Egg Turner

Hens instinctively know they need to turn their eggs to keep the chicks from sticking to the membranes inside of the shell. Artificially hatched eggs must also be turned. This consists of opening the incubator and manually turning the eggs at least three times per day. The Little Giant Automatic Egg Turner eliminates the need for manual egg turning. Every four hours the automatic turner rotates the eggs from one side to the other, eliminating the possibility of contaminating or damaging the eggs from unexpected jostling or the loss of the temperature and humidity needed for successful hatches.

Instructions

    • 1

Press the center of each egg cup until it snaps into place to make sure it is fastened securely to the egg rail.

    • 2

Insert the egg turner into the incubator, making sure it is flat on the wire floor and the power cord is lined up with the notched out area on the incubator bottom.

    • 3

Place the incubator lid back on the bottom. Make sure the power cord is seated in the notch and that there are no gaps in the seal between the incubator top and bottom.

    • 4

Plug in the turner and allow it to run for at least two hours before adding eggs.

    • 5

Place eggs in the turner with the small end of the egg facing down. If possible, leave the egg cups closest to the heating element empty.

    • 6

Check the turner daily to make sure the eggs are being turned.
