Appearance
-
Your goat may not even begin to appear pregnant until the fourth month of pregnancy. You will see the goat has gained weight and looks a little fuller in the lower belly. She may also have some slight bulging on her sides. You can run your hands down the belly to see if you feel any movement. If the goat is only pregnant with one kid, you may not feel much of anything. If there are two or three kids inside, then you may get lucky and feel some movement. It is best to record the date when you bred your goat so that you can begin to watch her weight.
Ultrasound
-
If you suspect that your goat is pregnant, you can call your local vet and get an ultrasound done. This may be a little on the expensive side, but it will help you get ready for the birth, as you will know whether to prepare for a single birth or multiple births. The ultrasound may also give the vet an idea as to how far along the goat is so that you can get an approximate due date.
She is in Labor
-
The only other way to tell if a goat is pregnant is to observe the signs that she is in labor. She will begin to separate herself from the rest of the herd. She will also begin to talk a lot. She can seem restless and a little glossy eyed. Finally, you may notice that she is urinating a lot, but not getting much out. If you see any or all of these symptoms, then you will want to prepare yourself for the birth of a brand new baby goat.

How Can I Tell If My Goat Is Pregnant?
Male and female goats should be kept separate until you are ready to breed them. You will then be able to watch for symptoms of pregnancy so that you will know if your breeding sessions were successful. If your goat is found to be pregnant, you will want to keep in mind that a goat delivers around the fifth month of pregnancy, and not the ninth month like humans.
