Do quail mothers come back to abandoned eggs?

Quail mothers have a high tendency to abandon their clutches if they feel threatened or disturbed, and their offspring are extremely fragile. If a quail nest is abandoned, the chances of the eggs hatching and the chicks surviving are very slim, as they won't have the protection and care of the parent bird.

Additionally, due to their rapid development, the hatching process for quail is fairly quick. If the quail mother does return, the eggs may already have hatched.
