How big is an African cow?

Cows vary greatly in size depending on the breed and individual animal. African cattle include several different breeds; the largest of which is the Ankole cattle, which originate in Uganda. Ankole cattle are known for their immense horns and are large animals, with bulls standing up to 6 feet tall at the shoulder and weighing up to 2,000 pounds. However, many other breeds of African cattle are smaller, with some cows standing only 3-4 feet tall and weighing less than 500 pounds.
