Circle Y Saddle Specifications

Circle Y of Yoakum manufactures saddles for western pleasure riding, barrel racing, trail riding and roping. This company celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2010. Custom saddles are available if contact is made directly with the company, though custom saddles are available for basic changes only. Circle Y only creates adult saddles in typical "leather" colors rather than dying the leather bright or flashy colors. These saddles are suitable for show use.

  1. Draft Horse Saddle

    • The Big Piney Flex2 Hybrid Draft Trail Saddle is made for extremely large breeds of horses and draft variety horses. The Flex2 extra wide tree offers a wide tree base for the draft horse's spine. This saddle weighs only 22 lbs. The horn is approximately 3.5 inches tall with a 2.25-inch cap that is trimmed in bone and leather. The cantle is a standard 5 inches. Only black seat material is available for this saddle. Seat sizes range from 15 inches to 17 inches, though larger ones are available if the company is contacted directly. This saddle comes in walnut and black.

    Barrel Racing Saddle

    • The Josey Flex2 Barrel Racing Saddle is made for high speeds and set up for maximum balance capability for both horse and rider. The tree of this saddle is available in Flex2 regular for standard quarter horses and Flex2 wide for larger animals. This saddle weighs 22 lbs., which is heavy for a barrel racing saddle. The horn is 4 inches long with a 1.5-inch cap with a lead core. The cantle is 4 inches. Chocolate is the only seat fabric option for this saddle. Floral tooling patterns create hundreds of designs on the leather of this saddle. Seat sizes range from 13.5 inches to 16 inches. This saddle comes in regular oil tone and ultra lite.

    Show Saddle

    • The Starry Night Saddle is a show saddle that is made to capture attention and show off. The tree of this saddle is available in Equitation DuraHide regular or wide, depending on how large your show horse's back is. This saddle weighs 33 lbs. with the factory stirrups attached. The cantle is only 3 inches. The horn is a standard sized pelican. Black suede is the only seat fabric available for this saddle. Swirling leaves tooled into the leather and silver filigree star stamped metal help this saddle stand out from the rest. Seat sizes range from 14.5 to 17 inches. Ultra lite and ultra white colors are available.
