Instructions

Take your rope and wrap it around the nose of your horse. Do not make it too tight or it will be difficult for the horse to breath. Cut the rope and set aside the nose piece.

    • 2

Take the piece of rope that you have wrapped around the nose and shape it into a circle. Hold the two ends so that they are touching. Using a match or lighter, melt the two ends together.

    • 3

Place the circle over your horse's nose. Using your remaining rope, wrap it from the nose piece, around the back of the horse's neck, and to the other side of the nose piece. Cut the rope. This will be your neck piece.

Remove the nose piece from the horse. Place the neck piece through a metal loop. Melt the nose piece and the neck piece together the same way they were when they were on the horse.

You now have your halter. To put it on, simply put it over the nose of the horse and slip the neck piece over the ears. The metal loop serves as a place to attach the lead rope.
