Disconnect the spark plug wire to ensure that the engine will not start while you change the transmission belt.
Step 2: Remove the Transmission Cover
Remove the transmission cover by removing the bolts holding it in place. The cover is usually located at the base of the tractor, near the front.
Step 3: Locate the Transmission Belt
The transmission belt is the long, flat belt that runs from the engine to the transmission. It is usually dark in color and will be located near the center of the tractor.

Step 5: Install the New Transmission Belt

Step 6: Reattach the Transmission Cover
Reattach the transmission cover by replacing the bolts. Ensure that the cover is secure.
Step 7: Reconnect the Spark Plug Wire
Reconnect the spark plug wire.
Step 8: Test the Tractor
Start the tractor and ensure that the transmission is functioning correctly.
