Are there any extinct animals that have been brought back to life?

While the concept of bringing extinct animals back to life exists in science fiction and media, there are currently no confirmed instances of successfully cloning or resurrecting an extinct animal species in real life. The scientific field dealing with this topic is known as de-extinction and involves efforts to use advanced reproductive techniques or genomic information to restore extinct species. Research and exploration continue on various front and it's a field of ongoing innovation, but as of my knowledge cut-off, no extinct species have been definitively resurrected.
