Things You'll Need
- Livestock sprayer
- 1- or 2-gallon pump-up sprayer
- Misting nozzle
Instructions
Look on the product label and select the table that applies to your intended use. Read the table carefully to determine where the product can be used, pests controlled by the application, methods of application, application rates and use precautions.
Obtain proper application equipment for the selected treatment site. A tow-behind livestock sprayer is required for surface sprays of livestock buildings, cattle, horses, sheep, goats, poultry, dog houses and kennels. Use a spray nozzle that produces a fine mist for poultry and their premises. A 1- or 2-gallon pump-up sprayer can be used for spot treatments of livestock, and foggers or a misting nozzle are suitable for livestock building space sprays.
Mix the spray according to dilution ratios listed on the use tables. Add the required amount of product to the correct quantity of water while stirring or agitating the mixture. Shake or stir the product concentrate before mixing.
Wear the proper clothing during application, which includes long-sleeve shirts, long-legged pants, a cap, rubber footwear and impermeable gloves. After the application, remove all clothing and wash before reuse. Wash or shower using plenty of soap. When spraying or fogging indoors, wear a dust/mist filtering respirator (number TC-21C) or a NIOSH-approved respirator with an R, P, or HE filter.
